Recorded and produced towards the end of 2004 ‘The Space in Between’ was Max’s debut release as a solo artist . Also featuring the talents of Paul Powell (Paul Weller, George Michael, Aztec Camera, Bros…) on bass, Will Morrison (Cole-Porters, Skyride, Here be Dragons….) behind the drums, recorded and mixed by Michael Pelanconi (Graham Coxon, Prince Fatty, Lily Allen, etc…), the five songs presented here cover a broad range of subject matter, from the existential darkness of the title track through the pulsating energy of ‘Round and Round’ to the heartfelt delivery of ‘Beauty’, all performed with unwavering commitment and integrity in a beautifully rich sonic setting.
